Summary
Air Traffic Organization, Technical Operations Services, ATC Facilities / Engineering Services, EOSH Services Group, EOSH Compliance Services Team, AJW-2310.
Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to:
Manages the establishment and implementation of the agency's environmental and occupational safety and health compliance; environmental cleanup; fire life safety; Americans with Disabilities Act requirements; job hazard analysis of legacy systems; fall protection; indoor air quality/mold; electrical safety; lockout/tagout; asbestos; construction safety; and hearing conservation; including design, development, implementation, conduct, evaluation, analysis, and direction of all work activities required to achieve the established goals of these national programs in compliance with regulatory requirements, agency policy and collective bargaining agreements.
Manages a team of occupational safety and health professionals, environmental specialists and engineers; and applies detailed knowledge of the technical, budgetary, and human resource requirements of the programs, including administrative policies and procedures, and an understanding of the objectives of the Air Traffic Organization (ATO) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in accomplishing the program.
Applies a thorough understanding of the principles of management, strategic planning, and integration of the work of multiple organizational units, projects, and programs to accomplish organizational objectives.
Manages program progress and performance to identify or assess existing or potential issues and problems involving critical program elements. Directs appropriate action to resolve or mitigate identified issues and problems, which may cross organizational lines and disciplines.
Establishes internal contacts with subordinates, peers, managers, and higher-level ATO and FAA management regarding the status and results of projects, programs, and plans. Externally represents the FAA as primary contact regarding program implementation.
Program execution and delivery of services to customers is governed by established policies, procedures, and mission objectives.
Creates and maintains a supportive work environment that promotes open communication between employees and management. Inspires, coaches, and guides staff members in accomplishing desired goals within a complex and changing environment.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position at the FV-K (FG/GS-15) pay band level, all applicants must demonstrate one year (52 weeks) of SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE equivalent to the next lower grade level which is (FG/GS-14) or pay band level (FV-J) in the Federal service. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as experience which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE must have been at least equivalent to the FG/GS-14 grade or FV-J pay band level for the FV-K pay band level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.
Examples of SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE for this position include, but are not limited to:
Experience with Federal regulations and requirements for environmental, occupational safety and health, and compliance procedures.

Education
Education cannot be substituted for experience at the FV-K level.
