Summary

This position is located in the Office of the Director in the Office of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) in Washington, D.C.

Serves as EEO complaints manager.

Responsibilities

Principle EEO representative responsible for conducting complex, in-depth research and analyses and providing input and assistance to supervisor to develop EEO policies and programs.

Responsible for developing, implementing, managing, staffing and evaluating EEO programs.

Conducting formal, in-depth studies, analyses, questionnaires and regular on-site reviews and program evaluations to identify systemic problems and barriers to equal employment.

Administering complaint process. Provides effective counseling services.

Serving as an instructor for employees and managers. Prepares and conducts training and/or presentations on EEO topics.

Serving as a mediator.

Participating in the preparation of various statistical and/or narrative reports.

Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progresses.

Qualifications

To qualify for the GS-13: Must have at least one year of specialized experience at, or equivalent to, the GS-12 Federal grade level. Specialized experience at this level must demonstrate the following: conducting counseling services in order to avert formal complaints and to result in solutions to disputes, investigating allegations of discrimination and developing and presenting recommendations to management to preclude situations from recurring, and demonstrated experience in negotiating settlements within the time constraints prescribed by Equal Employment Opportunity Commission's Management Directive 110.

Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP). The ICTAP provides eligible displaced Federal competitive service employees with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies.
