If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.nnIntake/Assess, investigate, conciliate, and/or resolve complex, highly sensitive and difficult allegations of discrimination related to housing, and employment.nConduct systemic housing discrimination complaints, which affect large numbers of minorities and women, or which have been in effect for a substantial period of time, resulting in institutional or flagrant housing discrimination patterns of practices.nInterview complainants and witnesses to obtain evidence relevant to the allegation of discrimination.nContact respondents to serve charges, explain respondent's rights and obligations under the law, and conduct interviews to obtain evidence.nnAll Candidates who are:1. ICTAP/CTAP eligible in the local commuting area; OR2. Individuals, no matter where you reside, eligible for consideration under the Veterans Employment Opportunities Act.3. Land Management employees eligible under Public Law 114-47.,qualifications:You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.Specialized Experience: For the GS-12, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: nExperience investigating discrimination in housing, lending, or other real estate-related transactions; AND writing determinations/decision documents in such investigations, and bringing such investigations to resolution. ORExperience in conducting research and analysis for development of an assessment of fair housing, equity assessment, or analysis of impediments to fair housing choice. Experience drafting final assessment of fair housing, equity assessment, or analysis of impediments to fair housing choice. OR Experience conducting fact finding AND writing determinations/decision documents AND working toward resolution for investigations or reviews assessing compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 or Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. nSpecialized Experience: For the GS-11, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:  nExperience investigating discrimination in housing, lending, or other real estate-related transactions. OR Experience in conducting research and analysis for development of an assessment of fair housing, equity assessment, or analysis of impediments to fair housing choice. OR Experience conducting fact finding AND working toward resolution for investigations/reviews that assess compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 or Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.OR A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related.OR Combination of experience and education. Only graduate level education in excess of the first 2 years may be credited for education and combined with experience. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.
