Summary
Serve as a member of the FAA's Strategic Workforce Planning Group in the FAA's Headquarters Human Resource Services Division.

Responsibilities
The Recent Graduates Program provides developmental experiences in the Federal Government. It is intended to promote possible careers in the civil service to individuals who, within the previous two years, graduated from qualifying educational institutions with an associates, bachelors, masters, professional, doctorate, vocational or technical degree or certificate from qualifying educational institutions.
Selectee will be responsible for working with colleagues, contractors, and FAA Lines of Business to develop an enterprise-wide strategy that optimizes the Agency's staffing to meet 3 to 5-year strategic goals. The duties of this position include:
Using data to drive insights into human resource practices such as talent acquisition, workforce retention and optimization, succession planning, and performance management.
Participating in job analysis studies to support the development of role architectures, job descriptions, enterprise competency catalogues and assessment tools/processes.
Participating in focus groups to gather and/or validate human resource data, processes, and procedures.
Analyzing job requirements and content in order to establish criteria for classification, selection, training, and other related personnel functions.
Applying operations research concepts, statistical analysis, predictive modeling, or other methods to analyze information and develop practical solutions for enterprise-wide workforce optimization and budgetary decisions.
Preparing spreadsheets, reports, summaries, charts, slides and other visual aids to describe findings, propose solutions, and predict trends of key workforce factors.
Collaborating with teammates and leadership to define and analyze key success metrics, measure efficiency, and inform the best possible business decisions.

Qualifications
To minimally qualify for the FV-G level, candidate must have a bachelor's degree.
Graduate students must maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 of higher. Recent graduates must have graduated with an overall GPA of 3.0 or greater.
Candidate must possess the following Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):
1. Ability to apply quantitative and qualitative data analysis skills and techniques in order to analyze issues and data, identity problems, and formulate data-driven solutions.
2. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, including communicating technical information with clarity and precision to diverse audiences through presentations and reports.
3. Knowledge of survey, analytics and workforce planning best practices.
4. Ability to manage multiple projects and track deadlines; completing work effectively, efficiently, and in accordance with established priorities.

Education
To be eligible for consideration, applicants MUST have completed a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution AND be enrolled in -- or have completed -- a masters-level (or higher) course of study in the field of Industrial/Organizational psychology or similar (operations research, statistics).
