About the Role:
We are growing our team and are looking for a team-oriented and obsessively collaborative person with a consultative mindset and a passion for diversity who can align diversity objectives with employees and management across the Technology organization. The right person embraces challenge, loves solving people problems, enjoys community-building and can pivot quickly.
What You’ll Do
You will work within the Tech org to be the link between the global D&I team, our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), HR Business Partners, People Development team, and other cross-functional partners.
Serve as the internal liaison to develop partnerships to promote diversity inclusion, support, community and belonging
Specifically support Women of Maps and Lady Eng, e.g. by organizing community-building programs for smaller groups, public speaking workshops, career talks, initiatives with people of all genders who want to be more involved in promoting D&I (e.g. being a resource for advice, support. And/or: provide tools for career building, team building).
Develop and execute on diversity and inclusion programs and initiatives, including internal and external events.
Consult with managers and individual contributors to provide guidance and coaching on D&I issues when appropriate.
Identify external trends and benchmarks that inform and complement internal workforce goals and employee engagement, bringing in new ideas to the initiatives that you will organize
What You’ll Need
Obsessive about all things Diversity & Inclusion. You’re a D&I culture carrier for Uber. You’re introspective, possess emotional intelligence, are an engaged listener and strategic thinker with demonstrated flexibility to advance D&I strategy across the Tech organization.
At least three-to-five years leading diversity, inclusion and/or cultural initiatives strongly preferred, including successful implementation of programs with measurable results.
Knowledge and experience in technology businesses including familiarity with global diversity and inclusion concepts
Proven ability to influence and build relationships with clients, partners, and people from various backgrounds and cultures.
Demonstrated ability to partner and drive engagement and accountability across an organization
Experience with facilitation and/or learning and development & coaching a distinct advantage
Team player with high tolerance for ambiguity and a rapidly changing environment.
Experience in facilitation, coaching and preferred
Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent training, education and experience.
