Job Description:

Summary of Role

Under the direction of the Director of Diversity and Inclusion, the Analyst provides research, analytical and operational support for the execution of various diversity and inclusion initiatives. The Analyst for Diversity and Inclusion is also responsible for research and project coordination which advance the development of Diversity and Inclusion tools for the profession that will align with the Association’s strategic priorities, initiatives and core values. Additionally, the Diversity and Inclusion Analyst tracks metrics and supports the Diversity and Inclusion Team in their execution of various diversity and inclusion programs.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Provide Research to Advance the Development of Diversity and Inclusion Resources


Collects data on diversity and inclusion, interprets and consolidates information into actionable items, reports, resources and presentations for the profession.


Identifies diversity and inclusion opportunities in the profession via research, analysis, and other techniques. Shares observations and insights with Diversity and Inclusion team


Employs project management methodologies and tools to effectively support the needs of multiple initiatives.


Coordinates with internal teams and external constituencies on the development and launch of new resources.


Facilitates the development of dashboards, infographics and other innovative ways to disseminate information.


Supports the development of Diversity and Inclusion consulting to the profession.


Assists in developing written materials for Diversity and Inclusion resources.


Creates evaluations, surveys and provides data analysis.


Provides analytic and research support to the Diversity and Inclusion Team

Provide Operational Support for Diversity Committee/Working group


Compiles, coordinates and distributes briefing materials for meetings; minutes, and other resources required to enable the committee to function effectively


Responds to committee or working group requests for information in collaboration with the Diversity and Inclusion Team members and other Association teams, as appropriate


Manages requests for diversity committee or working group speaking engagements, and media interviews (in conjunction with the Association’s Communications team)


Assists in researching, drafts or abstracts reports for committee or working group members and/or meetings


Assists in facilitating the effective functioning of any working task groups that are formed by the diversity committee; tracking assignments, due dates, providing appropriate information in advance of meetings and appropriate follow-up as needed


Creates and maintains committee/working group calendar and working files; providing timely and effective reminders of assignments and track necessary feedback


Maintains records/metrics for programs including participation numbers and costs, and document effectiveness


Maintains integrity of information for management and generating trust of team members and committee/working group members.


Takes initiative on requests and inquiries of administrative nature.


Maintains a consistent pleasant and professional disposition with internal and external stakeholders.

Provides Project Coordination for the Diversity and Inclusion Team


Optimizes planning and coordination for various diversity and inclusion initiatives.


Assist with planning and execution of engagements, virtual meetings and webinars


Updates department project work plan, status and calendar or schedules; monitors, reviews, and evaluates progress.


Serves as a liaison; acts as a resource person by performing research, analyzing information, providing documentation, and preparing reports.


Prepares records of project activities; oversees and ensures the timely processing in and the delivery key milestones.


Verifies and analyzes the accuracy of all data and information used or generated by project; resolves any discrepancies or problems.


Handles documentation purchases made with D&I team card.


Organizes and maintain electronic and hard-copy project materials.


Maintains positive strategic relationships with internal Association teams and external partner organizations to promote collaboration and information exchange.

Demonstrated ability to develop effective and collegial relationships with senior level Commission members and Trustees

Must be able to evaluate initiatives and projects, troubleshoot and effectively interact with key players to come to effective outcomes on a timely basis

Demonstrated ability to work smoothly and effectively with senior management and maintain alignment with the National Commission and AICPA Foundation strategic priorities

Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality

Must exhibit a C-suite level professional demeanor in dealing with various individuals at all levels of the organization and community

High degree of customer service focus and work ethic, including the ability to problem-solve effectively

Experience with and/or knowledge of web based systems and programs

Mastery of M/S Office, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Excel

Experience with social media tools, web casts, pod casts, etc.

Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with changing priorities

Confidence and the ability to work in an environment that requires confidentiality, discretion, and the highest level of professionalism

Demonstrated analytical ability and problem solving skills

Strong research skills with the ability to evaluate data

Required Experience, Qualifications & Education

4 – 6 years relevant experience

Bachelor’s degree
