DUTIES: As a Supervisory Equal Employment Specialist (PD# H200135) you will be responsible for the following duties:
Serves as Chief of the Complaints and Training Business Unit within the Equal Employment Office at an assigned activity.
Responsible for the administration of the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) discrimination complaints processing program including the design, development, and implementation of all local policies and procedures related to EEO discrimination complaints processing as directed by higher level authorities
Serves as an EEO Counselor handling the most complex EEO cases including all class action complaints
Serves as a working manager with responsibility for providing full service to a select group of distribution centers for processing formal complaints of discrimination and providing advice/guidance to the managers at these centers
Prepares and revises plans, procedures, regulations, recommendations, or corrective action needed
Directs, prepares, coordinates, issues and monitors the implementation of the DLA field activity annual affirmative action plan, and develops affirmative action measures to eliminate employment barriers and improve representation of minorities, females and employees with disabilities

Provides expert guidance and assistance to all levels of management at serviced activities and organizations to resolve problems connected with pre-complaints and formal complaints of discrimination.
Develops related charts and briefs; upper management, organization Directors, and higher-level authorities, on the status of the EEO complaints processing
Designs and executes all EEO awareness training focused on complaint processing and mediation for applicants/employees and supervisors/managers.
Responsible for providing technical guidance and on-the-job training to staff EEO Specialists and EEO Assistants including assigning workload and monitoring progress to completion for accuracy, effectiveness, and timely processing.
