Essential Function:

The Lindner Diversity & Inclusion, Program Manager is responsible for leading the development and execution of programs and events that drive diversity and fosters inclusion within the UC Carl H. Lindner College of Business. Managed by the Director of Diversity and Inclusion, this role supports the strategic direction of the college and university.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

*Coordinate, develop and maintain the programmatic features of the Business Fellows program and conduct daily operational activities in conjunction with the Business Fellows Program Director, student leaders and partner organizations.

*Programs include, but not limited to:

*Business Buddies Peer Mentor Program *Incoming First Year Student Orientation Dinner *Six (6) General Body Meetings Annually *Spring Talent Preview *Alumni Speaker Series, in conjunction with the Alumni Association *Corporate Visits (approximately six (6) annually) *Executive Coaching Series *Alumni Golf Outing, in conjunction with the Business Fellows Alumni Society *The Toast, the annual fundraiser and signature experience for the program

*Maintain, analyze and report data and research based on feedback and competitive standards to drive innovation, optimization and efficiency for all programs *Exercise responsible fiduciary decision making and reporting *Partner with the leadership team to ensure the long-term sustainability of the program and the matriculation and personal success of students

  *Daily Operations, which include, but not limited to:

*FERPA-Protected Database Management *Social Media Management (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) *Electronic Newsletter Creation and Distribution *Expense Reconciliation *Website Content Updates *Alumni Tracking

 
*Participate in the planning, promotion and execution of the annual Lindner Summer Institute, responsibilities include, but not limited to:

*Ensure compliance with UC Risk Management *Coordinate requests for UC Campus Services *Facilitate receipt and initial evaluation of applicants *Field questions from key constituents *Collaborate with Lindner Faculty, Undergraduate Recruitment, IT and Building Services *Identify channels and execute marketing for viable participants *Source supplies and materials for the experience *Confirm engagements with external partners *Adhere to budget constraints and reconcile expenses *Engage with student employees
 

Additional Responsibilities (but not limited to):

*Manage Lindner Diversity & Inclusion student workers, which would include: recruiting, on-boarding, training, disseminating assignments, setting priorities, ensuring quality, performance reviews, payroll reconciliation and disciplinary action, if necessary *Support other UC Carl H. Lindner College of Business diversity programs and organizations as needed, which include:

*Lindner Women in Business *Out in Business *iCats

*Serve as a resource by providing training and delivering presentations related to diversity & inclusion
 

Minimum Qualifications:   Bachelor degree with three (3) yearsof experience; -OR- Associate degree with five (5) years of experience; -OR- seven (7) years of experience. Experience must be in program development or business administration. Experience may require at least one (1) year of supervision.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

*Bachelor degree with five (5) years of experience in event management and leading organizational change *Appreciate the imperative for diversity, equity and inclusion *Proven success managing social media, e-communications and website content *Commitment to excellence with a strong sense of attention to detail *Engaging public speaker with the aptitude for training and development *Solutions oriented with a drive for innovation and a spirit of collaboration *Quickly adapts to new technology and easily acquires new technical skills *Exhibits sound judgement and the ability to make reasonable decisions in the absence of direction *Works effectively without constant and direct supervision and guidance *Uses high quality, professional oral and written communication skills internally and externally to drive engagement and results *Able to plan, prioritize, organize and follow up on several tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment and meet critical deadlines *Projects a high degree of professionalism and a sense of calm in all levels of interaction *Adjusts to sudden changes in priorities and the work environment *One (1) year of employee supervision experience *Proficient in Spanish
 

The Program Manager, Lindner Diversity & Inclusion position is a non-exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). The hourly rate for this position is fixed at $19.23.

 

 

 

This position will be a professional position paid at an hourly rate.
