Description

The Behavioral Health Market Development Advisor provides support to assigned health plan and/or specialty companies relative to Medicare/Medicaid/TRICARE/Employer Group product implementation, operations, contract compliance, and federal contract application submissions. The Market Development Advisor works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.

Responsibilities

The Behavioral Health Market Development Advisor serves as the primary resource on regulations for all assigned health plans. Ensures that assigned health plans are meeting or exceeding corporate Medicaid performance benchmarks. Establishes relationships with stakeholders within multiple states. Advises executives and market leaders to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

Required Qualifications


Bachelor's degree
3 - 5 years' experience with Behavioral Health Medicaid and Medicare operations
3 - 5 years managing large scale behavioral health projects and cross functional teams
Success in developing working relationships within a highly matrixed business environment
Ability to analyze data and make informed recommendations on state RFPs and responses for BH elements
Will contribute to the advancement of behavioral health throughout the Enterprise
Experience developing relationships with key stakeholders to understand and improve the market
Deep understanding of how behavioral health services are delivered, and experience with Community Mental Health Centers, Federally Qualified Health Centers and other BH organizations
WORK AT HOME Requirements : Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense. A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required. Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role. A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
COVID VACCINATION : Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Associates who remain unvaccinated must either undergo weekly negative COVID testing OR wear a mask at all times while in a Humana facility or while working in the field.


Preferred Qualifications


Master's degree
Experience responding to state and/or federal government solicitations
Behavioral Health provider contracting experience
RFP reviews and response contributions for multiple states for Medicaid expansion

Schedule: 8 hours shift, Monday to Friday. Flexible Start and Stop Times.

Training: 2 weeks, Virtual

Work Location: Remote Nationwide

Travel: 30% - 35%
