Responsibilities
As a Equal Employment Specialist at the GS-0260-13 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Conducting pre-compliant counseling and inquiries into the specific incidents and claims identified by aggrieved applicants, employees, and/or former employees.
Preparing comprehensive written reports containing relevant information about the aggrieved person, jurisdiction, claims, bases and requested remedy.
Analyzing the composition of the workforce according to organization, occupation, lines of progression, grade and pay level, race, sex, and other relevant characteristics to identify employment opportunities, and to determine the EEO impact of personnel and other management policies and practices and to develop special emphasis initiatives for the Affirmative Employment Program (AEP) Plan and recruitment.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-13 gradae level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service.Specialized experience is defined as:
* Experience managing the Affirmative Employment Program to include conducting barrier analysis and preparing the Management Directives (MD) 715 report.
* Developing surveys, gathering and analyzing data and provide management with recommendations to resolve issues. Experience with Disabled Veterans Affirmative Program Plan (DVAPP) and the Federal Equal Opportunity Recruitment Program (FEORP).
* Experience with the Federal employment process relating to the outreach, recruitment, employee development/advancement, and retention of employees.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
