Job Description
The Office of First Year Experience is seeking an Assistant Director for Diversity and Inclusion. The Assistant Director will be in charge of creating and implementing an array of programs in order to support underrepresented students during their initial transition to **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.. Duties will include administration over a first-year transition mentorship program, design of a comprehensive recruiting program aimed at attracting underrepresented students to office programs and leadership positions, execution of formative retreats aimed at specific student populations, and general outreach and support to groups including, but not limited to, our AHANA, LGBTQ, first generation, and low-income student populations. This position will supervise a part-time graduate assistant to assist in these duties and programs.

In addition to these responsibilities, this role will assist in the execution of undergraduate student activities that exist within the Office of First Year Experience and Center for Student Formation. Such programs include the First-year Student Summer Orientation, Academic Convocation, the 48HOURS and Halftime retreat programs, and the Ascend and Freshmen League mentorship programs.

We seek a candidate who understands and values the principles of Jesuit education. The candidate should have experience in multicultural student leadership with an ability to effectively mentor students from diverse populations. Demonstrated experience in facilitating diversity awareness workshops is strongly desired. We seek an individual who is comfortable and productive working in a small team within a
fast-paced environment, is able to multi-task, possesses strong interpersonal skills, and who is able to communicate clearly and effectively.

Hiring Range: $50,350.00 - $$62,950.00

A Master’s degree in Higher Education, Developmental Psychology, Counseling or a related field and a minimum of 3-5 years of work experience are required. The job requires occasional and predictable weekend and week-night responsibilities due to the nature of student formational work.
